There are many reputable institutions that provide coach training.  Each institution provides its own coach certification.  Formed in 1995, the International Coach Federation (ICF) is the only non-vested entity that provides no training but has established an international standard for coach training excellence.  ICF extends accreditation to training institutions that meet ICF educational requirements and offers three levels of coach certification based upon training, competency, and experience.

·     Associate Coach Certification

·         Professional Coach Certification

·         Master Coach Certification

One training organization that meets the ICF educational requirements is The Columbia Partnership (TCP).  Arden Adamson received his advanced training for ICF certification through TCP.  The personnel with TCP who created coach training materials have formed another Christian organization, Coach Approach Ministries (CAM), and continue to provide the same training.
